Hackney Beit Sourik Meeting - 7pm, 19 November 2012

Hackney Beit Sourik Friendship Association development meeting – all welcome!

7pm, Monday 19 November at 24 Alcester Crescent, Hackney, London, E5 9PX.

We would love your help with using social media, organising the visits, planning places to stay and things to do, and to hear your ideas for other activities to help build links between Hackney and Palestine.

There are currently a group of visitors here in Hackney and Camden, from Palestine, (see Noor and Tamara in the photo above - on their way to bonfire night!) and some of them will be at the meeting too - a good chance to say hello, make them feel welcome, show them that people in Hackney support Palestine, and also to hear from them first hand what life is like living under occupation.

Volunteers from Palestine (and from UK)

Tamara (left) and Ehab (right in this picture) are two of CADFA's twinning volunteers currently in Hackney where they are helping to build the Hackney-Beit Sourik twinning work.  They were pictured above in front of an olive tree in Abu Dis, Palestine.

Meanwhile, here are the CADFA twinning volunteers in Palestine. Tahmina (second from left) and Clare (second from right) will be going in the next couple of weeks to Beit Sourik.

So look out for some info on Hackney by Palestinians and on Beit Sourik by people from the UK, on this blog.
